That's a Wrap!

par-tuh-HHHHAY!

Emma's Child saw its final performance tonight. There was no official cast party for the show, and I wouldn't tarnish the dignity of the production by calling this debauchery a cast party. As it goes, most of the cast and crew were here at the home of one of the cast members.

At a party where alcohol is consumed, this is what happens
when you let someone "see" your camera.

They wouldn't let me sit between them, but that's okay. I
only would've gotten myself into trouble there.

Startled by the unexpected self-portrait.

Oh, if only I were 25 again...and in one case, a woman. *SIGH*

How many chins is one guy allowed to have?

For the record, I don't recall who took most of these photos, and it's quite clear I didn't take many of them!

Faces

In previous posts I had tracked the progress of our Emma's
Child set, but I had never taken or posted a shot of it once it
was finished. Now I have. So quit your belly-achin'.

Bookends

The morning treated me to a nice view. Too bad I could
barely keep my eyes open...

PHOTO NIGHT! The photographer came to take the official
Emma's Child posterity photos. After the performance.

When you have to work it, you realize it's the only day with a turd in the middle of it

Enough already!

Marlin Brant? Alas, it was too good to be true. This was a
no-show/prank call. I mean,
really, who would do such
a thing to their kid?

Moon Lighting

The inspiration was better than the execution, here, as the sky and moon were not actually as blurry as they appear.

It's a Melty, Melty, Melty, Melty World

Apparently there's some sort of drainage through this

Looming

Our show opens in one week. There's a mildly frightening sense of "behindness" with regard to the set — with which I have nothing to do — and with the performances, my own included. But it'll come together. It always seems to come together.

Scale

The photos above and below show the scale of the snow that is on the ground in the Chicago area. The depth of the snow in these shots does not reflect the depth of the snowfall, but rather the amount of snow that has been pushed aside and piled up for traffic. In some places it feels like I'm driving through a white-walled corridor.

...And the rehearsals continue...

Confoundry

The View From the Street

Without clicking to embiggerate the photo (which you can do with all of the photos in Phlog)... can you read the number at this address? I don't understand how people can expect taxi- and delivery drivers to find them when their house numbers are camouflaged, obscured or otherwise ureadable.

Gestation

Emma's Child is forming.
